Not every kitchen needs cabinets drawn from scratch. Where the walls suit standard widths and the finish you want is one a manufacturer already offers, stock or semi-custom gets you the same installed result for less money and in less time.
Stock
Fixed sizes in three-inch increments, a short list of door styles and finishes, and the shortest lead time we can offer — often weeks rather than months.
Right for: rentals, flips, ADUs, laundry rooms, garages, and kitchens where the run happens to land on standard widths. Wrong for: tall ceilings, odd angles, or an appliance list that refuses to fit the grid.
Semi-custom
The manufacturer's boxes, but with the sizes, depths, finishes and interior fittings opened up. A cabinet an inch narrower to close a gap, a deeper base beside the range, a specific paint colour, drawer banks where the catalogue shows doors.
This is where most of our kitchens land. It solves the awkward corner without paying for a one-off, and the lead time sits between stock and custom.
What does not change
Whichever line you buy, the specification is written down before the order — line, door style, finish, hardware — and our own crew installs it: scribed to walls that are not plumb, levelled across floors that are not flat, doors adjusted individually. Countertops are templated off the boxes afterwards.
We are not tied to one manufacturer, so the recommendation follows your kitchen and your budget rather than a house line.
Deciding between the three
Bring us the room. If stock will do it, we will say so — the difference in price is real, and a stock kitchen installed properly beats a custom kitchen installed carelessly.
