The bathroom's original tub surround was torn out, leaving heavy adhesive residue on the walls around the alcove tub and its small horizontal window. The crew applied construction adhesive and mortar dabs to the stripped walls, then set large white marble-look panels with gray veining across all three sides of the surround, wrapping the window opening. In these photos the surround and tub are set; drywall patching above the panels and new flooring are still to come.
The panels were fitted and finished on site — frames show adhesive being spread across a panel set up outdoors, panels handled with vacuum suction lifters, and a full sheet carried in with the window cutout already made.
In the kitchen, a black marble-look brick mosaic backsplash was underway: thinset combed onto the wall above the counter, mesh-backed sheets back-buttered and placed around a black faucet, with the countertop protected during the work.
