    Every line of work and its price agreed on paper before demolition starts. Change orders get priced the same way, in writing, before anyone acts on them.

    Materials named, not implied

    The contract names the slab, the cabinet line, the door style and the hardware. Nothing gets swapped for an equivalent after you have signed.
